From our pumpkin patch:

They’re volunteers, like the sunflowers. I’m thinking next year we won’t plant anything and will just let the garden do what it wants to do.

  2. I know! They turned orange in July—thus is the strength of the volunteer. I think we will end up carving one. I was planning on cooking with both until I realized the one on the right weighs 20 pounds (that’s probably enough pumpkin to last us awhile).
