The kids are losing their minds

Today I’m top shelf hungover. Yesterday was Jeremy and Selina’s wedding and we made the most of their reception.

Of course I put on my lucky wedding socks..

Which complemented my fresh new pair of converse nicely.

We went over early to man the house while the bride and groom were out getting married. The caterers were kind of late getting there and I was pacing around the house all crazy nervous. Finally they showed up and we got down to work.

Fire in the hole!

Yea.. wood fired pizza. Whats up now?

Serena was on flower duty

The place came together amazingly. I moved kegs around, manned the ipod, set up chairs and tables and put things on ice. When the bride and groom appeared I cued up the appropriate playlist and started to party.

There is a big gap in photos as we were under the impression that our camera was almost out of batteries.. Anyways here’s what things started to devolve into.

Those hips sure don’t lie!

They had a pro photographer who was amazing. All party goers were encouraged to get their photos taken. Here he is making American Gothic happen with the happy couple.

When he took a group photo of Me, Serena and Tex he then took individual shots of each of us. He encouraged us to drink more and come back and take more photos. No problem! During my second go ‘round he had me put on my sunglasses and said he was going for a Fader magazine cover shot look. Can’t wait to peep that shot. He was ruling!

This is one of my last memories..

I drank a shot of rum after this and don’t really remember much after that. But that’s what weddings are for. I’m pretty sure I was “that guy” for a good chunk of the night. At one point I had an empty pint glass on dancefloor and really felt that it was inhibiting my dancing skills. I meant to gently toss it on that nice soft ground but seemed to wing is a bit harder than I expected and it hit a fence. Luckily it didn’t break. Way to go “that guy”..

It was an amazing and lovely night. Congrats Jeremy and Selina. Ya’ll are awesome. Have fun in Spain! By the time you come back I may even consider drinking again.

  1. apparently, I danced a lot. I don’t remember that last photo being taken AT ALL. I appear to be freaking out/having a seizure. GT’s.
