Sorry about the post lag but whatevs! Here’s what I did today.
Our dear friend Cedric is moving to Austin. This is rad for him and sad for us.. We’re beyond stoked on his voyage and decided to send him off in true Unicorns style. Which apparently means riding 20 miles before picking him up..
Things started out shaky..
Get it?! Totally hilarious right? Things at this point were fine actually. We’d yet to meet any real hills yet and just started to get warmed up.
Here we are about 15 minutes from Cedders and getting ready for some climbing.

So documentation got sparse at this point.. the cool down was hot.. and spirits almost turned dark.. but then.

Ok we’ve given Cedders a hell of a ride.. let’s now go to the pub.
I’d phoned ahead to the Cranewife to bring us a grip of snacks.. She did this perfectly.

Cedders. Im’a miss you. I’m excited for your journey but don’t want to go away. However, I truly believe you’re doing the right thing. Good luck in Austin and make sure to spread the cult of the Real Unicorns out there. Keep the rubber side down. Love you buddy!

I’d already forgotten about the magic of Harpoon Dude. I mean, who thinks a dude in a camo wetsuit is going to emerge from amongst the east side surfer bros holding a fricken’ harpoon gun a a bigass fish, to boot. If you guys hadn’t seen it too, I’d chalk it up to exhaustion driven hallucination.

I definitely was pretty punchy when I got back to “the stable” as Tex would like us to now refer to it.
I’d totally forgotten about Harpoon Dude until I loaded up my photos! What a day…
