Totally fun, refreshing, and upbeat album.

Can’t really explain why this album pulls at my heart strings, it just does.

2 - Phoenix - Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix

This album just makes me happy every time I listen to it.

1 - God Help the Girl - God Help the Girl

Favorite Tracks: God Help the Girl, Pretty Eve in the Tub, Funny Frog, Perfection as a Hipster, Come Monday Night, I’ll Have to Dance with Cassie, A Down and Dusky Blond

This is definitely my favorite album of the year. I love the combination of the strings, singers, and the keenly written lyrics. I also lost my shit when I heard Neil Hannon singing a duet. So fantastic!

Singles of 2009

3 - Florence And The Machine - "Dog Days Are Over"

I ’ll run fast for my mother, father, children, sisters, and brothers. Catchy, fun, and complete with hand claps.

2 - Kate Nash And Billy Bragg - "A New England/Foundations"

An interesting pairing of songs and a lovely duet. I found this on youtube and have heard it at least 50 times. My favorite part is when Kate Nash laughs and sings "I saw two shooting stars last night..." Check it out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2-5gv81cC0

1 - Voxtrot - "Berlin Without Return..."

"Still there was you, the center of me." How does he come up with this?

Holy crap, I didn’t go to one live show this year. Sad, so sad.

Most anticipated album of 2010
