simple, dry, and focused.
took me a while to actually get into this album but it’s really unlike anything i’ve ever listened to (and liked). one of those albums that reveals itself more and more with each listen.
smart, complex, and beautiful...i’m in awe of these guys.
jason lytle sticks to what he knows best...lush, lazy soundscapes wrapped around delicate, soaring melodies.
this album was technically released late last year but it doesn’t change the fact that i listened to it religiously for the better part of three months straight. over the top, fist pumping, heart on sleeve, i wanna rock kinda songs.
kind of a kick back to another era but with a modern twist. such a cool vocal delivery/style.
i’m still mystified by this album. it’s like a huge dark blanket that puts me in a trance.
this one caught me off guard. hated it at first but a few more close listens opened the door...
a fun album with fantastic songwriting
one of the best live shows i saw all year as well
those frenchies can bring the rock.
hats off to these guys for doing something different but it just wasn’t a proper follow up to "Writer’s Block"
no-fi can eat a dick. it’s a shame because this guy actually writes great songs.
