Top albums:

Iron and Wine - Shepherd's Dog

Didn't really give a shit about this guy until now. To my surprise, I knew this would make my list about 15 seconds into the album.

The National - Boxer

Andrew Bird - Armchair Apocrypha

Cave Singers - Invitation Songs

Another personal instant classic. The video for "Dancing on Our Graves" is probably one of my fav videos of the year too.

Cloud Cult - The Meaning of 8

Gotta say, this is ALMOST a guilty pleasure. Some of Cloud Cult's stuff is borderline tacky, but with this album, they've perfected some kind of formula for creating toe-tappers that are aggressive ear-worms.

Parts & Labor - Mapmaker

One of the few up-tempo bands to make my list in a couple of years. How did I get to be such a sad bastard loving pussy?

Beirut - Flying club cup

Non 2007

Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works, Vol. 1 & 2

Thanks, Rain.

Blue Scholars - S/T

Little known Seattle Hip-hop duo.....great samples, beats, and slippery, wisdom speckled lyrics.

Girl Talk - Night Ripper

I don't really dance. Except to this.

Handsome Family - Live @ Schubas

the "I Dropped the Ball" list - amazing music I discovered at least 3 years later than the rest of the world....

Postal Service

Sufjan Stevens - Come on feel the Illinoise!

Elliott Smith - Figure 8

Sigur Ros - everything
